Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD)

Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) is related to body image where a person experience significant distress due to preoccupation with imagined or slight defects in appearance. It usually begins with obsessive thoughts about a flaw or trait (cannot be seen by others or seen as a slight imperfection) and become overwhelming and unbearable, to the point of threatening their well-being and daily functioning. In an effort to suppress their physical concern, they usually develop compulsive (repetitive) behaviours and routines.
